Tough Nut To Crack

To this Verdin, it is.  He can smell it.  He can imagine it's wonderfully satisfying taste.  But the best he can do is stare and try to summon his super bird-power strength, to no avail.  A cardinal and a couple of thrashers came by and snatched them out from under his nose beak.

We had an ICF*  meeting last night.  I had to fill in as the secretary and am the coordinator of the spring cookie sale after masses the last weekend of the month.  I keep accepting more and more opportunities to get involved with things and am enjoying it.  Tomorrow (Saturday), I'm taking a group from the Singles Club to the Wa:K Pow Wow  at the Mission San Xavier del Bac, a National Historic Landmark (aka The Dove of the Desert). The local Tohono O'odham Nation is the host.
