Young Love

A couple of months ago I was asked by the young man who is the head vet at The Wildlife Center if I would take photos when he proposed to his girlfriend. I hesitated and agonized about it for a while - because I don't think of myself as a photographer of people and I really didn't want to blow it and leave him with no decent photos of the event. But in the end I said I would - how hard could it be, right? And today was the day. The drama took place at one of the many many local vineyards in the general area and it was - amazingly - not raining. It turned out to be happening indoors - in the winetasting area - and it was a little dim. But! I think it worked out pretty well. She was actually pretty surprised - not by being asked to marry him (he had her grandmother's ring to use the diamonds from to create a new ring) - but by the event itself happening when and where it did. So that was fun!
