Tools of the trade
A packed day that didn’t work out as we planned. We expected to go down to Tenterden this morning, me to attend the annual Signalman’s meeting and Susan to browse the shops. We were then going to have lunch, go for a walk then attend the annual Staff and Volunteers Meeting in the evening.
What happened was I went in the morning, then came back as Doreen was being discharged this afternoon. Susan was at the hospital until gone six o’clock which meant she was unable to come with me for the evening. All the best laid plans eh?
The morning meeting was in a church near Tenterden. We sat on hard pews listening to various sermons on rule changes and other paraphernalia about the coming year.
The evening session was good, if long and sore on the bottom. Good food at the end, some of which I brought home for Susan.
Today’s blip is another hurried one. Just as the decorator had left them on his pasting table on Friday afternoon.
