Deerstalker

After getting up to a covering of snow and more falling, I thought that five hours spent marshalling for tonight's Deerstalker race around Innerleithen might be a bit grim. Although my marshalling point was a fine viewpoint, the weather in the evening wasn't great, and most of my session was in the dark. Still, it was fun cheering on all the participants, there were no serious injuries [a participant died in the last race, two years ago], there was some good chat with the Mountain Rescue guys and my fellow marshals, and I earned £80!
