An eye for movement

Unusually for us in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, it has been raining intermittently all day. During a brief break in the weather, this kookaburra arrived in a tree in Tsuken's back yard. It allowed me to get outside and relatively close. Shortly afterwards, it darted down to the ground and nabbed a worm.

Later, during one of the showers, three Australian magpies landed on the rail of Tsuken's deck. The extra is a close up of one.
