Buffleheads and a Mallard

There were quite a few Bufflehead on the lake today.....they are so pretty when the sun hits them....they are so fun to watch as they raise high in the water before they quickly dive.....when they come back to the surface the drops of water pool on their backs. I love the refections....they are quite unusual.

I didn't stay long....I had that "to do" list I ignored yesterday......there was clean up work to do in the yard....lots of it!! I enjoyed the dirt under my fingernails and mud on knees.....little tree frogs hopped around as I removed some of the dried up perennials and grasses where they were living. It was a perfect day for exhausting work......rewarding work/play. I am tired in a good way.
