our friend Michael had his plate party at the Flying Saucer this afternoon. If you join their beer club and drink all 200 craft beers on their menu you become immortalized on a plate, placed up high on the wall of fame. today, he reached that milestone and the Saucer threw him a party, picking up the beer tab for him and his friends. So, Leah and I rode our bikes up the bridge to join them and I had a bunch of Belgian ales I couldn't even begin to pronounce. But this here is George, who you might remember from a few weeks ago when I did a photoshoot with him and his wife Jasmine. Most of the usual cast of characters were there, including Jeff, who we pretty much locked down to shoot our wedding in March (he is going to do a combination digital, Holga film, and Polaroid). A great afternoon with ridiculously mild weather (biking in short sleeves/short pants in December).

Back home now, Leah is napping and I'm about to join her because I think we are leaving bright and early (like middle-of-the-night-3-AM-early) for our drive out to Tucson, where we will stay for a week before driving to Denver, where I will stay for over two weeks. The holidays are officially here.

Thanks again for all the comments, favorites, stars, new subscribers, and general love for my Blips over the last few days. Lost a few subscribers over yesterday's ram's head shot. Guess people didn't realize the Satanist bit was a bit of satire. Ah well! Cheers!

EDIT (a serious addition).

"Strange doubleness in American life. Grieving over "tragedy" is genuine--but does not convert into action to prevent the next tragedy." --Joyce Carol Oates
