Defenceless.

It is the time of the year when the Red Deer Stag shed their antlers. This chap must have lost his a couple of days ago as there are signs of the new ones sprouting. They do grow very quickly - about an inch a day.
I found another male Kestrel today - see my extra photo. My Kestrel was AWOL, perhaps in her nest!
