Back to Spring

The weather can't make its mind up, with a full on wintry day yesterday, and today a lovely sunny and breezy day to evapotranspirate all the snow. 

I ran in the annual KB5 road race yesterday around the roads of the Braids. But it definitely wasn't a day for road shoes with the amount of sloppy slush still lying on pavements so I was glad to have the security of the tread on my trail shoes. As with the GU5 event last month, the field was primarily young nubile students in shorts and vests, sprinkled with a few old duffers like me. A good event though, well marshalled and a logical route which I'd like to do again in better conditions.
