Card sharps

Some very shady characters around this table..and a few poker faces! They were actually playing a game called “Garden Flowers”, known in our family as “Weeds”.

Sarah and I caught two trains and a bus to reach my brother’s house and then we drove with his two sons, Jay and Aston, to see my parents in Sussex. Joined by my sister Jacalyn and her daughter Grace, nine of us went out to a local Indian restaurant to celebrate my Mum’s birthday.

They’ve all gone home now and it’s very quiet here. Mum and I are about to finish a jigsaw.
