Blossom
After a week of mainly grey, dark and very windy weather this afternoon it started to look a bit better. Meanwhile many trees have burst out in blossom which then got messed up by the wind. So it was time to capture some of the blossom before it's all gone !
Thanks to all Abstract Thursday fans who entered last Thursday's challenge, it was very interesting and enlightening to read what the different ideas about abstract photography are and it is wonderful to read that so many of you are really enjoying the challenge. This coming Thursday the optional theme is 'surprise shapes or patterns', what I mean with that is that often you can suddenly see a pattern or shapes where you didn't expect it, think the patterns in backlights of cars, shadow play on 'normal' objects which suddenly makes it look different. This week I was looking at a mini carton egg box (for small chocolate eggs) , turning it around and seeing the rather surprising and rather suggestive shapes and patterns of the bottom of the box (see the extra), I'm looking forward to what you're discovering in the house or outside and capturing as an abstract. The tag will be AT195.
Here's the list of 5 specials from last Thursday:
redilady for seeing the abstract in a very mundane subject
rainie for a fantastic seascape made from a geode
BlackTulip for seeing the abstract in the facade of a parking
CathyH for an abstract reflection in water
Kimb for an abstract made impressionistic by an app
Thanks again and do have a look at the whole collection here, it's so interesting to read and see everybody's take on the subject.
Thanks very much for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's curcuma flower head
