The G. I. Bride

I caught up with the G I Bride today.   She belongs to the same cartoon strip as this guy.

She moved to the mythical Calton Creek in the Arizona Desert, which is populated almost entirely by Glasgow emigrants.   She married a G I and followed him to what she thought would be a better life.  She was disillusioned.  She is seen constantly trying to hitchhike home to 'Pertick'.  She always has her baby son Ned in her other arm.
