In the Foothills

Today we travelled to Mussoorie, not so well known as Shimla, but a beautiful place to visit. We are staying at The Savoy, one of the oldest hotels, very handsome in a gentlemen's club sort of way and with so many staff they are falling over each other to please us.

We were given a free afternoon but the hotel had other ideas....a tea ceremony, at 5.00pm, a bonfire with story telling at 6.00pm, a special starters bbq for our group before going inside for dinner. All great fun especially the story telling. We were surrounded by charming, helpful staff at every turn!

So tomorrow we are out walking in the town and nearby countryside. This is the view from our balcony. Better WiFi here so I hope I can catch up with some of your journals.
