Flooded Footpath
A pleasant day after a long period of stormy weather, saw us head to Goodrich Castle, Herfordshire to do a circular six mile walk.
After half a mile we were at Kerne bridge, Goodrich, on the River Wye and needed to climb over a farm gate as the footpath was flooded into the field. For the next couple of miles along the bank of the Wye we needed to clamber up banking due to the footpath being flooded. The blipfoto shows one stile flooded to give a falvour of what we were up against. Just proves we've had a lot of rain!
Afterwards, we headed to Wetherspoons, Monmouth for their bottomless cuppa as reward for our efforts.
