Splashing

This is a new bird at the Japanese Friendship Garden. I don't know what it is and can't find any info to identify it*. I had never seen it before. It was mostly sitting in the water and walking on the shore, but I got it splashing a lot here.

I am going to miss this garden when I move. Today was spent packing and getting last-minute things to move.

* Edit: I think this is a female red-breasted merganser.
