Sodium Sky
Dawn over the bay? Well no actually. I was driving home from a Christmas get together when I couldn't help but notice this false dawn. It was around midnight with no moon. My immediate thought was that there might be a huge fire raging somewhere in the distance, but I quickly summised that I was seeing the sodium spotlights from a farmhouse about a mile away bouncing off some low cloud and mist. The false horizon must be due to the strata in the clouds. Massive ISO as I didn't have a tripod handy!
