Hoswick, Sandwick

A beautiful bright day. Blue sky, blue sea. The meter hunt was slow and yielded poor results but on the upside everyone was cheery.

I knew a friend from home was arriving on the boat this morning, but was pretty surprised to bump into her on a small road in the middle of nowhere.

Her trip had been delayed by the poor weather last night which was such a shame, when the visit is a short one, but the silver lining... a super crossing in the daylight and arriving to a sunny day. Her first visit and today she saw Shetland at its best.
