The crane

In to Berwick with MrM this afternoon, on one of those multi-purpose trips. He wanted to buy some guitar strings, and take something back to the DIY store. I took one pair of my brand new specs whence they came - there's a flaw in the coating on one of the very expensive lenses, so they're ordering a new lens. Also took my bus pass application to the council offices. (Am I really ancient enough to qualify?!) Tasks complete, we met for coffee and cake before driving home.

We didn't walk down to check, but the huge crane towering above the buildings in Berwick looks to be on Sandgate, where a 60-bedroom hotel is being built. Although it will bring jobs to the town and, hopefully, attract more visitors, it won't have any dedicated parking, which could be problematic. We shall see...
