It took a long time to get here but strangely we're only about three hours behind UK time so not feeling too disorientated. 
We are at a hotel quite close to Cerro San Cristobal where we took a Funicular ride to see the views over the Andes which were very hazy (main photo)and the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception featuring a huge statue of the Virgin Mary and a highly decorated chapel. There were also several beautifully painted large crosses.
I have made a collage for the extra of some of the things we saw including a couple of birds which I haven't been able to identify yet.
