Growth

This is Gregory the Grasshead, one of MightyMouse’s stocking presents.

Gregory’s hair grows well, and the children laughingly compare it with Elbow’s hair! I’ve just asked MightyMouse to give Gregory a haircut.

I remember these when I was little, and that’s a long time ago. I remember begging my mother for an old pair of tights so that I could make one, but back then, people used to mend the runs in their tights, not ditch them. Shamefully I tried quite hard to totally ruin a pair of hers so that I could make a grasshead but I don’t remember winning that battle.

I’ve had a Street Party Meeting tonight. I enjoy them but often feel the difference in our ‘worlds’. They are kind and lovely but different.
