Stoned!

Spotted this lying by the side of the track today. Seems a little strange to find such a lovely piece of work just abandoned. I know what it says and where it should be, but I do wonder what it was designed for and how it ended up 50' below the road in question on the cycle track. It looks too heavy to have been thrown over.
I knew today would be busy, but I achieved a lot -I spent the first hour making appointments for various tradesmen to come to do some odds and ends at A's flat before they arrange a home report. I've booked a service for the car, and finished off my talks for the weekend in Crewe.
Walked to Ravelston Dykes then back to Sainsburys and up to D' Mains. Back home via the village and all my steps done.
Out to bridge this evening where we won which was nice.
