Soft as velvet...

...were your kind and compassionate responses to my image yesterday.
Thank you all so much.

This elegant Northern Wattle moth fluttered in through the deck doors last night and was here to greet us still this morning in its velvety gown.
Just before noon I sat down in the stitching cave and its "mate" flew in to join me as I stitched a few more rows on the quilt I'm making.
Quite large  they are and beautifully subtle markings adorn their wings .
This one was unperturbed by my gently sliding a fold of paper beneath it to provide a contrasting background and didn't move as I lifted it to the bench.
