Carpet of Flowers .....

..... for the Muslim community; those deceased, and the survivors.

This carpet has doubled in size since I visited 48 hours ago. It’s now the width of the grass and is out to the pavement, plus it’s two city blocks long now, instead of one block. An amazing visible outpouring of grief and love.

There are stories of terrible loss and trauma, coupled with incredible acts of bravery. Heroism in the face of awfulness. .

The shooter, he who shall not be mentioned by name, has united Christchurch, plus the whole of New Zealand, in a way I’ll bet he didn’t intend.

We are all children of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; we have a right to be here.
