Amaryllis

We don’t really deserve to have this beautiful Amaryllis since we left it in the box more than a month after it was due to see daylight and there was a pathetic pale bent over stalk and another small stalk when we opened it.

Since then it has shot up and to my great surprise a 3rd stalk appeared and has almost caught up although the flowers have not yet opened.

It obviously likes our sunny kitchen window and I have watered it religiously with luke warm water as instructed.

I wonder if I can save it for another year - Google has just told me how to do it but meantime we will enjoy the display.
