Dad

Was thinking about my Dad today as it’s his 116th birthday. So I just looked for some antique photo...this is us in 1948 on a New York ferry. we were visiting his family in Brooklyn. He loved boats and water , would have loved it here at the island.
But the super moon is here today.....It came up while H and I were in the sauna, but I had the camera ready. Couldn’t get it just as I wanted tonight ... might fuss with it tomorrow..
69F here today... not as warm as Seattle but pretty great! Did some raking of all the debris on the trails and worked on some other projects...Thursday a pro tree faller is coming over from Galiano to help with the mess of downed trees. And BC Hydro is on the island this week replacing poles, including 2 of ours... they dug a big hole yesterday for the one halfway up the power line and we didn’t even hear them, :-) Not sure they’ll get to us before the weekend but we know there will be no power from 9-3 the next 3 days. The generator is ready to go.
