Troglodytes troglodytes

.... So called because it means cave dweller and refers to the habit of foraging in dark places.  No wonder they're so hard to see!

Before heading home with the caravan we had a look at Wolesely Visitors Centre owned by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. A great number of birds seen this time including a treecreeper. Maybe we saw more because we came on a school day and were leaving as a coach load of toddlers from a nursery were arriving!
