A missed opportunity

Well on a beautiful sunny spring morning amazingly no one turned up for the six mile guided walk! So returned home a collected Mrs A S (holidaying) and the hounds and went for a four mile amble from home before retuning to the Melbourne Arm for tea@2 . Once again won the raffle ( I am barred from entering again ! ) lol.
Above is New Horizon who was being moved on the moorings to allow work on touching up her paint work in readiness for the start of the season at easter.
The sunshine and high temperatures saw an abundance of Brimstone Butterflies flying along the banks and the odd Tortoiseshell also.
Tomorrow hopefully a mini Blip meet and a view of the 500th running of the Kiplingcotes Derby! The oldest horse race in the country.
Take care one and all.
