Milo

My daughter and I had planned to go into town to sort my phone and look at spectacle frames but she has had a very stressful week so we went for a lovely, long, therapeutic dogwalk instead. Before we got out into the country we met lots of nice people and their hounds. The owner of gorgeous Dachshund puppy Milo, above, said she was nervous about meeting Ollie as her dog is only the size of Ollie's head. Ollie was very polite and gentle with Milo and I hope it has given the woman confidence around big dogs.

Ollie and Frankie loved it when we got out into the countryside on the first day of spring. Frankie is the leader, Ollie copies everything she does. We loved seeing them scampering in and out of streams and copses as skylarks sang above us. We saw lots of meadow pipits, heard a green woodpecker and had a good chat about the various issues that are worrying us.
