Day 079/19 Cherry Blossom

After a drear few months of dank days and long nights it is such a relief to see the trees breaking into flower and the evenings gradually getting longer. Roll on summer.

Question - why are so many fruit trees in public parks ornamental? Why can't they be fruit bearing too?
