San Pedro de Atacama

We are now in the Atacama desert which is the driest place in the world.  It is also quite high and we are now in the small town of San Pedro de Atacama staying in an adobe styled lodge.

This place is so like Peru which is not that surprising as the border is only a few hundred miles north of here.  Even the people look peruvian and the pan-pipe band that entertained us during our evening meal was just like many we saw in Peru (see extra)
