Limestone country

We are at Port Waikato in our caravan specifically to go to the Nikau Limestone caves which have been on our bucket list for some years. We knew we would get wet (the track through the caves follows a stream and we walked in it most of the 1.5 kms), we also knew we would have to crawl on our hands and knees through water! what we didn't know was we would have to contort our bodies to squeeze through skinny holes, one was named "The Squeeze" and I had grave doubts some of my bits wouldn't fit through! The sights we saw were magnificent, a huge number of limestone formations, stalagmites and stalactites and glow worms. We are exhausted tonight. Good to cross this off our bucket list.
