Into the murk!

On the way up Mt Herbert, we headed into mist, rain & wind.
Although we persevered for a couple of hours we ended up turning back, and heading back down to our cars at the Purau Saddle. It simply wasn’t worth carrying on. We wouldn’t have seen a thing and the drizzle was getting heavier.

Plus! Jacinda Ardern, our Prime Minister, announced today that military-style semi-automatic rifles are no longer legal in New Zealand and must be surrendered. She has delivered already on the promise she made only 6 days ago. A brave move, that could cost the government millions, but it will be received well by the public.
