Derwent Water

Back in November, we booked a few days' holiday in Keswick as something to look forward after my dissertation deadline. It was such an incentive to me and it was a wonderful feeling packing up this morning and setting off. 

We arrived, had a delicious lunch at our favourite cafe, walked down to the lake, decided we really should have packed hats, wandered around Keswick looking for cheap hats, had another cup of tea and a bit more of a mooch (including a long time in the bookshop), checked in to the guest house, relaxed, had a pub dinner and then watched a film. It was wonderful being able to take our time without worrying about work or any other responsibilities!
