Cars might fly
The chapel of Cheltenham college peers out from among the mistletoe. A car reflected in the double decker bus' window flies through the trees. Railings rail against greenery. Dusk nibbles away at light.
I've been reading short stories, specifically The Beauty of the Dawn Shift by Rose Tremain. Extraordinary. Elegiac. East German. Rose Tremain takes the reader and the protagonist on a bicycle ride towards the future, the East, to the perfect silence that has no location.
Read it and see for yourself.
