Pans
We went out to Musselburgh to walk along the seawall and visit the hides at the pans.- not a huge variety of bird folk, but we were accompanied all the way along by a succession of skylarks in full voice. What a delight they are. Always happy to listen to oystercatchers having a burble, too.
This chap, although not singing, was not only close enough to photograph but stayed still for long enough that even I could manage a shot of him. I'm told by a higher authority that he is a reed bunting.
