Long day...
We were going to break our journey across Tasmania today as the roads are known to be mountainous and winding. But after setting off we decided to try to go as far as Strahan which was about 260k. It was a very winding and mountainous trip and many bends has a speed sign down as low as 25kph. Reminded me of 250k of the road down to Jenolan Caves...I took a travel sick tablet which helped.
We left our mountainous hideaway with difficulty. The road had fresh gravel and our SUV had trouble getting up the drive even in low gear. They shouldn’t advertise caravan parks where you can’t access the site or leave....
The main picture is my entry to Flower Friday, buttongrass flowers ( Gymnoschoenus sphaerocephalus). Taken from the Mt William lookout on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site.
Called in at The Wall as instructed by Mr Isbi. An amazing work of art by Greg Duncan which consists of 100 hand sculptured timber panels, each 1 metre wide and 3 metres high see thewalltasmania.com
