Leaving the ship today
Our short Christmas cruise had to finish, and today it did. So sad. Really enjoyed it.
Never done a cruise before but I think we'll be doing another one. Both myself and my wife enjoy travelling, but it was so nice to let someone else do the driving for once.
One of the things we can't believe is just so how well put together these cruises are. They have spent a considerable amount of time thinking through everything. Everything is pretty much done for you, you just have to show up.
The service was incredible as well. Lets admit it - $100 a day for 2 people, which covers the hotel room, three meals, and all the non alcoholic drink you can get down your neck. And the room is made in the morning, and turned down in the evening as well.
The room staff know you on a first name basis.
We pretty much wiped out 50% of our ship board expenditures because we complained twice about a sound in our cabin. I'll remember that for the future...
The only downside is waiting to get off the ship today, took a couple of hours.
Picked up phone messages as well - JimBob got boarded at the vets, so we'll need to hurry home and get him collected.
