Martin Parr Battenberg

Went to the Nat Portrait Gallery in London today to see the Martin Parr exhibition - Only Human .Some wonderful photos full of colour and humour and British kitsch .
Halfway round is a cafe selling builders tea , fondant fairy cakes and Battenberg cake . Brought back memories of tea at my Grandma’s in the 60s and of my Dad who loved marzipan and always had Battenberg as a treat .
Well worth seeing the exhibition - composition , subject , colour all great and an excellent , interesting film of Martin Parr talking about the photos and how he chooses the subjects .
