My 85th birthday morning

I had slept a few hours when I woke up to a slight cough and felt that there was blood in my mouth. I got up and went to the bathroom with blood running off my nose. I called my friend, I pressed the alarm in my wrist, and soon there were two nurses trying to help me until they felt unable to stop the bleeding and called the ambulance. The ambulance nurses finally pressed some stoppers into my nostrils. 

I have never had nosebleed, so apparently turning 85 is what caused it. :-) However, there were some smiles in the midst of the misery, the ambulance nurses pointed out that my blood pressure readings were ideal.
