Local landmarks
The church and pub were always the centre of village life. The Church of St Mary the Virgin at Ellenbrook got Grade II listed status in 1966 and the chapel was first mentioned in the history books in 1272. The pub is sadly no longer, although the sign remains in the car park. I'm intrigued by the stones in the foreground, which must do something to protect the brook from the land or the other way around I'd love to know what stories these trees could tell. Interview prep and chores today.
