Shooting Son Sets
Doing what a lot of people all over will have been doing this weekend, spending time with the kids with a heightened sense of appreciation for our lot.
Ok, it might not've gotten off to the best of starts when Euan helped out trying to do a bit of electrical DIY on an outside light. What should've taken ten minutes max took the best part of an hour, with the best Chuckle Brothers moment being when, after we'd negotiated the cobwebs and found the screws to take the thing apart, I handed Euan the glass structure from the light and he placed it delicately on the ground. Unfortunately that bit of ground was right at the bottom of the ladder I was on and as I stepped off it was crushed into a hundred pieces.
So, it was a later, and shorter, than planned photowalk we went out on down by the river, but a productive one. For Euan at least. As much as he grumps and groans he's slowly beginning to get his eye in when it comes to this photography caper. He's listening and planning things out, looking for shots and asking more about the settings on the camera. We'd just been talking about different shooting angles and about trying to find some foreground object to add interest to the wide angle shots he'd been taking and he promptly fired off a shot that put all of mines to shame today.
Not even going to try and compete with that one. Well done wee man.
