March on the Mono

Early morning alarm clock is usually the radio coming on, but this morning it was a starling fluttering at the stairwell window inside.

Closed the doors, opened the bathroom window, whilst having a conversation with the bird, hide round the corner, eventually bird came down from the windowsill onto the top step, then onto bathroom door, then out the window.

Needed a cup of tea after that! Don't know how it got in, but must have been quiet yesterday afternoon if it had come in the window, as closed it before tea.

Went out to the garden to remove any wild garlic that was hiding in the bit I'd dug over last year. Lots of colour starting to show too. Mulched with bark around the base of the shrubs of new hedge planted last year.
