Moulin Huet Magic
As today was the lowest Spring tide since 2015, we decided to go down to the beach near our home. It is a pleasant walk down but quite a hike uphill to reach home again. As it was the first time we had taken Alfie pup we decided to drive to the beach car park which isn't too far. He is only five months old and walking on the beach and back up the hill is probably enough for him without negotiating cliff paths too. In fact he was carried most of the way back as he had clearly had enough romping on the beach.
The low tide revealed some beautiful rock pools and gullies. The colours are quite magical and it is quite unusual to see these particular weeds hanging like this. It was evident that the sea has been rough and some areas which are usually sandy are in fact rocky this year. Hopefully the next storm will bring the sand back.
In extras is another sandy pool which would be lovely for a paddle (but not in March!) One extra is the bay as you come down the hill. The furthest beach is Petit Port (where Miss T spends most of her dog walking time) and the nearest Moulin Huet.
Once home we had to bath the dogs as they had been in and out of sandy pools and they were very sandy.
