Estuary view

I took part in the annual litter pick this year along the River Otter and the estuary.  It was timed to start around low tide so we could all wander around the areas of land that are often covered in water at high tide.  It was an interesting experience slowly wading through the mud trying not to fall although a few people did succeed in slipping.  There was a prize for the most unusual find which in this case was for a small bear, more for the loss it must have resulted in.  I found a cointreau bottle and my colleagues rescued two tyres, see extra

I took the opportunity to take a few photos as you end up in areas we don't usually have access to.  This lovely bank of reeds is just before white bridge.  It was said that there wasn't quite as much litter as last year which must be a good thing.

On another note there was a large march in London today, calling for a second referendum vote.  It's hard to imagine how this will be resolved, just a pity there was ever a vote in the first place.
