Rue des peupliers - borrowed view

If you recognize this view then, like me, you are a fan of fellow blipper John Van de Graaff. John and Marylee were kind enough to have us over to their apartment this afternoon. It was a real pleasure to meet them! We also enjoyed discovering the Butte aux cailles neighbourhood on our walk over. John and Marylee explained that the homes in this photo, that dot the area, were built for the railway workers ("cheminots") in the area in the 1930s. 

I've been following John's blipfoto journal, especially during his winters in Paris, since I first discovered blip back in 2011 and I'll continue to count on him to keep me posted about Paris in the winters ahead.
