Thoughts to my aunt tonight, ill in ERI. Saw A Private War, with a portrait of Marie Colvin and the horrors of war and male leadership at work. And then the other horrors of empire on the story of Botswana’s founding. Then thankfully my own family again. As for Sweden and Denmark...to say nothing of Norway and Iceland’s stories too...not always or only on banknotes but curious contrasts with this benighted group of islands...
