Queen;s Park Poetry Rose Garden

The Poetry Garden celebrates the work of 14 Scottish poets from Robert Henryson (1420-1490) to George Mackay Brown (1921-1996). It is well worth the walk round to see the plaques and sculptures. This is the sculpture in memory of Robert Henryson and the words are those found on the Hugh MacDiarmid's sculpture.

The rose of all the world is not for me.
I want for my part
Only the little white rose of Scotland
That smells sharp and sweet - and breaks the heart.
