Snowy Owl
No, this is definitely not a Snowy, but I was so excited to see one today (see extra of a very cropped photo!). Sadly, I couldn't wait for the Snowy to return to the edge of the marsh but at least I know that there is one in the area and shall return with fingers crossed before it migrates back up north.
Main blip is a Barrow's Goldeneye which is easily confused with a Common Goldeneye. I posted one last weekend of a Common Goldeneye doing its courting dance. This fella already had a mate...lucky him! Update: I was confused! This is a Common Goldeneye....; )
Hope you are all having a restful Sunday...take care.
