Scapa Flow; Riding out the Squalls
A pretty dismal day with rare glimpses of sun; haily shooers. The highlight of the day has just passed as I attended a performance of Faure’s Requiem in the King Street Halls in Kirkwall. I last heard it performed in Aberdeen Arts Centre 44 years ago. It also must be stated that the King Street Hall has a superb dance floor. It’s used for dancing about one night every two years. It’s difficult to bring this into every day conversations.
