A Mississippi Critter
We went to the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge and completed the 3/4 mile easy hike through the public portion of the park. The weather couldn't have been any nicer. Lots of sun, a refreshing breeze, and temps in the 70's.
While the weather was nice, the critters were few and far between. We only saw three bluebirds at the beginning of the hike and two vultures mid-way through.
At the end of the hike, I noticed an oddly shaped pinecone in the middle of the trail. As I got closer, saw that there was a critter on it. So he saved the day by letting me get my only decent picture of the day.
